Can’t be logged in twice at same IP address

    I’m having a problem – I can no longer be logged in to WooCommerce at 2 or more computers that have the same IP address, even with different user accounts. This was working fine until recently.

    I have never heard about this before – actually I have heard the reverse, people wanting to stop this behaviour!

    I don’t think this is down to WooCommerce – my thought is maybe a security plugin by your host or similar? Can you reach out to them?

    Also, is there a reason you need to be logged into the same account on more than 2 devices?

    FWIW I’m logged into my own site using my macbook and iPhone with no problems.

    We have an office network with one public IP address, so one person may be viewing an order while another is editing a product, etc. – that’s why we need to be logged in more than once on the same IP address. Note that the problem occurs even when using different user accounts.

    I’ve tried turning off security plugins in WordPress but that didn’t help. I’m checking with the host to see if any other security software is present.

    The host has turned off mod_security (that’s all the security software running), but still the issue remains.

    Update: we’re seeing this problem even with only WordPress itself installed (that is, without WooCommerce).

    It seems that the host has fixed this by changing the tcp_tw_reuse and tcp_tw_recycle settings.
