I’m not sure what you mean by editing plugin file. You shouldn’t need to edit any files. Just add or modify entries via the plugin’s admin page. Is that what you’re doing?

Yes, when modifying or changing or adding or removing Entries and checking the result in preview or going to the result in a browser, nothing changes…..the robots.txt file remains the same.

FYI, There is no other robots.txt file on the site.

    Thanks,

That’s strange. I just tested the plugin again to make sure I didn’t break something in the last release. It works for me. Any chance you have another plugin that is also modifying the robots.txt? SEO plugins, for example, sometimes modify the robots.txt entries.

I’m having same issue. No other plugins editing and no existing robots.txt on the server. Weirdly google search console is showing it is using this plugin, but it will not update when I add new entries.

hello. im having a similar issue as well. i have two sites, hosted in two different directories, that use this plugin. it seems to work on one and not the other. one site is in \www\msq\ and another is in \www\pws\. is there some kind of conflict that’s happening between the two?

    thanks
