    I have been trying to use updraftplus for years, but I always deactivated it due to issues with backup. I installed again 2 days ago hoping that things would have changed,but still this same. Cant get automatic backup and backup now will stop halfway.

    I need help, and i do hope the team could help as I am not a techie. Below are the error messages received from the plugin:

    Warning 1: WordPress has a number (3214) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this probably means that the scheduler in your WordPress install is not working

    Warning 2: The scheduler is disabled in your WordPress install, via the DISABLE_WP_CRON setting. No backups can run (even “Backup Now”) unless either you have set up a facility to call the scheduler manually, or until it is enabled.

    Need help for auto update. I used my google drive as backup storage.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Please could you send us a copy of the backup log?
    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Regards,
    Bryle

    Please, how can I get a copy of the backup log?

    Can you provide a guide?

    Could it be any of the files from public_html > wp content > updraft?

    Okay seen the folder, there are several files there. Could you point me to the right direction?

    There is also this backup.php file which I am not sure it is exactly what you were asking for.

    Hi,

    Could you try to reduce the backup archive split size. This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.

    To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Set this to 25Mb save your settings and run a new process.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

    Also, still getting the warning

    In your wp-config.php
    Can you change;
    define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);
    to
    define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, false);

    Hi @lovelyayo

    Please delete the pastebin link above for security purposes.
    Can you check with your host and see if there is any other settings where your WP CRON is disabled?

    Thanks,
    Bryle

    Hi,

    It sounds like your WordPress scheduler may be broken.
    To confirm this, can you install a plugin called WP-Crontrol? This will allow you to see all scheduled tasks that WordPress is handling.
    Then could you navigate to Tools->Cron Events. You’ll then be able to work out if the scheduler is working correctly.

    We also have a guide to this issue in our FAQs here. This provides some further advice that you can try.

    Best Wishes,
    Bryle

    Not sure it is working properly. I have provided screengrabs of the error messages I am receiving:

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay,
    I am unable to see the screenshot, do the cron say that there are an overdue tasks?
    If so can you try adding this to your wp-config.php

    define(‘ALTERNATE_WP_CRON’, true);
