• Hi there, thanks for this great plugin. However I can’t set the plugin to not put tax on the paypal fee. I have activated tax and set the tax class to zero tax. I have activated the box at “Add tax”. When I deactivate taxes, the fee will not be calculated correctly anymore (2,5% + 0,35 EUR). Can you help me here? Thanks, Frank

  • Hi Frank,

Do you mean that Payment Gateway fees is being calculated with cart total only when you enabled Taxes?

Can you show me the setup you have done and the checkout page where you are getting result?

    Hi there,

no, the paypay fee is always calculated if a user wants to pay through PP. However the fee contains VAT (tax) which is not correct. You see that in the backend order page: https://snipboard.io/pmA7Es.jpg

This is the plugins setup: https://snipboard.io/L2h8ZE.jpg
The tax class is set to 0 tax. However this is ignored by the plugin – as you see in the above screenshot, the fee contains VAT.

    Thanks for help with this.

    Hi @perlfan,

Instead of using ‘Zero Rate’ option, can you uncheck ‘Taxes’ and ‘Add taxes’ settings of our plugin for Payment gateway?

When I uncheck both boxes, the plugin will not calculate the PayPal fee correctly (e.g. for an amount of 50 EUR, it will then calculate a 1,40 EUR fee; however 2,49% + 0,35 EUR should make 1,60 EUR). This is why I left the boxes checked, because then the fee is 1,60 EUR.

@chetnapatel I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
