I’m having this problem with all google analytics plugsin. It worked a week ago so I’m something is definitely wrong. Probably on googles end.

Same issue here too. I haven’t been able to use this for several weeks. Is it still being developed/supported?

I have tried 4 of the top Google Analytics plugins, including Yoast, and all of them won;t work. 3 of them report an error similar to “countryBlocked: This service is not available from your country” and Yoast just simply states “settings saved” but nothing was saved. I let Yoast know and they are already looking into it. The “handshake” between my host and my Google Analytics admin/app page is connecting, because I see the plugins as registered. But something is going on, and recently, as I’ve seen a lot of posts today, on other sites, regarding this exact same issue.

Same problem. I installed new redesign with migration, everything works except Yoast analytics authentication. Nothing happens when I insert Google tracking code. ???

I emailed them and this is the response I got (no help):

Thanks for your email. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to verify your license. If you’ve already purchased Google Analytics by Yoast Premium, please send us your license key so we can verify it manually.

If you have not yet purchased the premium version of the plugin, which includes free support, and would like to do so, please refer to yoast.com.

If you are using our free plugin and have questions regarding Google Analytics by Yoast, we would refer you to the following 2 options:
?Check out our extensive Knowledge Base
    ?Visit the free forum
If, after checking the Knowledge Base and forum, you still believe you have a bug, you can file a bug report or request features for the Google Analytics by Yoast plugin in the following GitHub repository: https://github.com/Yoast/google-analytics-for-wordpress

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide individual support for our free plugins, but I hope these suggestions are helpful.

Don’t know if this will assist some of you, and obviously not a solution.

I had the same problem. When trying to “authenticate with google account” I got a 403 error. Quite by chance I got it to authenticate. Should mention that I’m using Firefox as a browser. When I got the error I right-clicked on the tabs wanting to re-open another tab for a plugin that I’ve closed. On the closed tabs list was a google “Request for Permissions” tab. It never opened in the browser but was listed so I restored the tab. Clicked allow and got the authentication code. Copied and pasted in the plugin. When I saved I got another 403 error but it’s working. Tested and data appearing in analytics.

Not sure if this will help anybody else but I just deactivated the plugin and reinstalled it. Upon reactivating the plugin and going to the dashboard it already had my authentication code validated and I could select the site from the dropdown and save. Dashboard now appears. Worth a shot!
