Can’t approve comments

I have the same problem, reported it here at the forum a while ago but never obtained an answer. Quite sad since it must be something fairly simple. I’m using WordPress version: 2.8

I am having the same problem since upgrading to 2.8. I approve a comment, it appears to go thru, but a minute later it is right back in “pending”

I just deactivated Ozh’ Absolute Comments plugin and the problem went away. Apparently something isn’t working in the newest version of that plugin because I updated it the same day I updated to WP 2.8

Yep, there are some problems with javascript and plugins in 2.8.

Updating to 2.8.1 will not have more problems.

I don’t know if my problem is caused by this or not, but my comments aren’t even hitting the que to be approved. I have an admin accnt and a test accnt. When posting comments to the post page or the main blog page, the comments are accepted and no errors are sent. But when you log in as an admin, there’s nothing in the que at all.

Also, no emails show up either. Didn’t have this issue in 2.7.1 …not that I had a lot of comments but at least it worked.
