Can't apply title and meta desc to Woocommerce Shop page with Yoast SEO

Hi,

I’m trying to set the title and meta description for the Shop page in Woocommerce, but the resolutions I’ve read are not working for me.

Using Woocommerce 2.0.14, Yoast SEO 1.4.15, I go to SEO > Titles & Metas, click the “Post Types” tab, scroll down to “Custom Post Type Archives”, under “Products” I enter my title and meta description, I click “Save Settings”. When I go to my storefront Shop page and refresh, my new title and meta description do not appear.

I see why this is happening, but short of using .htaccess, I don’t know how to fix it. It’s happening because my Shop page appears with a URL of mydomain.com/product/energy-bar/ instead of mydomain.com/shop/. If I go directly to mydomain.com/shop/ the title and meta description I entered are being used.

Is there a way within Yoast SEO to rewrite the page name, or some other solution?
