    Hi – I’m currently in a Bitnami development area creating a new website. I’ve loaded my google calendar into the site with Simple Calendar. All is fine seeing the current month but I cannot advance it to see December.

    settings:
    Calendar start: This month
    Earliest Event: 1 month before start date
    Latest Event: 1 year after start date

    Data is loaded into the google calendar on the google calendar site. I was not sure if I could backup to see October but I should be able to see December.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    I’m still having problems.. i’ve tried deactivating all plugins and still can’t advance to next month. i ran theme checker and seems ok – i got the following info:

    RECOMMENDED: Screenshot size should be 880×660, to account for HiDPI displays. Any 4:3 image size is acceptable, but 1200×900 is preferred.
    RECOMMENDED: No reference to add_theme_support( “title-tag” ) was found in the theme. It is recommended that the theme implement this functionality for WordPress 4.1 and above.
    INFO: More than one text-domain is being used in this theme. This means the theme will not be compatible with www.remarpro.com language packs.
    The domains found are onetone,onetone_framework,https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon, target=_blank>Favicon,options-framework,textdomain
    INFO: includes/theme-setup.php The theme appears to use include or require. If these are being used to include separate sections of a template from independent files, then get_template_part() should be used instead.
    INFO: admin/options-framework.php The theme appears to use include or require. If these are being used to include separate sections of a template from independent files, then get_template_part() should be used instead.

    if there’s anything here that you think might affect?

    thanks

    @lauriek,

    No that all looks like it should be fine. I want to ask a couple things just to make sure:

    1. What is your setting for “Latest Event” set at?

    2. Do you have events in the next month also?

    lauriek

    (@lauriek)

    Thanks Nick.

    1. Latest Event is set at one year after start date.

    2. There are no events in December, just January etc. I added an event in December to see if this would help, and interestingly the calendar does then move forward – but there is still no ‘forward’ arrow displayed. If I hovered the mouse over where I thought it should be, it allowed me to click and move on. The ‘back’ arrow was white, but the forward arrow invisible. Is this a different problem (is the forward arrow black the same as my background?) or linked?
    I don’t have an event in December so ideally would like the calendar to move on without having to do this, … does this help troubleshoot?

    I can add the December event again if this helps you view it.

    thanks again.

    What do you have for the theme – light or dark?

    Hi – changed to dark and i can now see the arrow – sorry that should’ve been obvious!
    There’s still a bug where it freezes loading if I don’t have an event in the next month. I’ve just added an event in the next month as a work-around, can live with it!
    thanks for your help!

    The navigation links don’t work on my site with the Enfold theme (in either grid or list). You can see both on this page.

    https://www.stmatthews.us/calendar/

    I will try checking for theme and plugin conflicts with a test site but I am debating whether that time wouldn’t be better spent switching to the legacy plugin and re-creating my feeds.

    @lauriek,

    Great!

    @hdeadman,

    Ok let me know if you find a conflict. Also there is a bug right now where if you don’t have events in the next month then the paging might not work (similar to when @lauriek mentioned above).

    @nickyoung87
    There does seem to be an incompatibility with the Enfold theme and this plugin. When I changed themes the calendar also resized better. I can’t change themes though and I haven’t had any problems with other plugins. Theme check comes up with lots of issues.

    None of these CSS files get loaded under enfold theme:
    /wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/assets/css/default-calendar-grid.min.css?ver=2abc3da3bd0a7cb81f41df90735aaad5

    /wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/assets/css/vendor/qtip.min.css?ver=2abc3da3bd0a7cb81f41df90735aaad5

    /wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/assets/css/default-calendar-list.min.css?ver=2abc3da3bd0a7cb81f41df90735aaad5

    I’m having the same issue. It looks like the button’s disabled for some reason.

    This is the page I’m working on: https://camra.ca/events/

    This is what I see when I inspect HTML:
    <button disabled=”disabled” class=”simcal-nav-button simcal-month-nav simcal-next” title=”Next Month”><i class=”simcal-icon-right”></i></button>

    I’m using Enigma theme.

    Addition to my last note. Sorry, I read the bug issue just after I finished. I entered a future event and the arrow showed up, so good to go.

    I re-read the thread and saw the tip about using “Always Enqueue”. That fixed the issue under the Enfold theme where the CSS wasn’t loading.

    The paging issue will be fixed in 3.0.10.

    Thanks!

    Im experiencing this issue currently having already installed 3.0.10. I’m attempting to put a calendar in a widget on my “Contact” dropdown but I am not able to cycle through the months. I have an event already in January and I added some for December as well.

    I agree this is NOT Resolved. I can not advance my calendar using the Enfold theme. I have had to resort to displaying a static calendar in list mode. Any further resolutions?

    Plugin Contributor Nick Young

    (@nickyoung87)

    Sorry about the issue you’re experiencing.

    If you recently upgraded to WordPress 4.5, there is a common issue that has cropped up for some folks affecting many plugins and themes stemming from other plugins and themes.

    Short version: Update all your plugins and themes to the latest versions by their vendors.

    Read the detailed version here if you need a technical explanation in order to troubleshoot this particular conflict further.

    Finally, if your issue is still not resolved or is not related to an update to WordPress 4.5, we still recommend the best way to go about fixing this is testing for theme or plugin conflicts.

    Thanks!

    P.S. I barely saw this since you posted on a closed thread, next time please open a new thread to be sure we don’t miss it.
