    Hi,

I know, this problem may not be a problem with this plugin directly, but with Google Calendar.

I’ve always used webcal/ics calendars that I have added by URL to my Google Calendar.
But now it seems to be not possible any more to add calendars by URL in Google Calendar and make them public.
Without making them public, it works to add them, but then I can’t use them with the plugin. And if selecting to make them public, Google shows some message that the calendar will be indexed by Google, but nothing happens…

Does anyone else encounter this problem too and has found a solution?

    thx
    Stefanie

    Hi Stefanie

do you still have the problem?
maybe indexing for Google takes a little and they are not immediately available to API requests?

Yes, still the same problem. I can’t get these calendars into my Google calendar any more. Even after days they don’t show up.

Here’s the link of one of the affected calendars, if you want to try:

It actually worked for me – I could import that calendar and show it in WordPress through the plugin, instantly

Maybe something is wrong in the public setting?

What I did is the following:

    1. Went to Google Calendar settings page (clicking on the ‘gear’ on top right corner of the Google Calendar default page
    2. Clicked on Calendars tab (2nd tab top left of the screen)
    3. Clicked on import calendar and chose an existing public calendar of mine
    4. Events were imported, I just made sure they were using the default calendar setting (public)
    5. Went back to WordPress, events were already there
