• Hi, I’ve installed Analytify and configured everything but it’s still not working. For some reason the link in the admin message “Congratulations! Analytify is now authenticated. Please select your website profile here to get started.” doesn’t work. I have successfully connected to Google analytics, yet when I go to the Profiles section of the settings, there is no profile to select. So I have no dashboard. Can you help please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Hannah,

Please make sure you are authenticating Analytify with the correct Google account that has Google Analytics setup with it.

Once you have Google Analytics setup here: https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web then your profile will start to appear in Analytify. Also, make sure to re-authenticate after setting up the profile.

    To re-authenticate:
In your dashboard go to Analytify > Settings > Authentication. Here press “Logout” and then after Authenticate again.

Let me know if you face any issues.

Yes, that what seems to be the rub. The profile was created prior to connecting with Analytify. GA is connected and authenticated in Analytify, though the profile is not showing. When I clicked the link in your post it immediately took me to the GA page for my website. I have the site set up and verified in Webmaster Tools/Search Console. However, Analytics doesn’t seem to be able to connect to Search Console. Is that what’s causing this disconnect? I haven’t experienced this before, and I’ve made a lot of websites in the past 12 years, each of which was connected to GA. So strange.

What is the account type of the Google Analytics for your site?

If its app + web the profile will not appear in Analytify. Make sure it is set up as website only account.

I had started it as app + web, but when I ran into this issue I deleted that profile and started fresh with a standard “website” profile. I did change the profile tracking ID after making this change, so I thought it would register as such.

Is is it working for you now after re-authenticating Analytify with Google Analytics account?

    No

Please contact via our support channel as I need some additional information to resolve your issue.

    Thanks, Asad. Doing that now.

I am experiencing the same issue. I can log into analytics and everything is built correctly for that profile. Yet no profile appears to select from the drop down. I have reauthenticated. I’ve deactivated and reactivated the plugin. Nothing resolves the issue

Google Analytics has moved to Google Analytics 4 version and with that, it has removed the by default backward compatibility of UA code for new users.

We have written a detailed guide on how to turn on the Google Analytics UA code compatibility to use it with Analytify.

Please check our guide here: https://analytify.io/doc/how-to-integrate-analytify-with-google-analytics-4-ga4/

Until the update of Analytify, you have to enable the UA compatibility option in Google Analytics. Our team is working on GA4 compatibility of Analytify and soon we will release Analytify new version with Google Analytics GA4 Tracking code compatibility.
