    Hi,

I’m using a child theme of twenty eleven, just went to add a new page to the menu. The page shows up in the list on the left but when I click it and click the “Add to Menu” button, it just sits there with the “spinning wheel” and does not add it to the menu. I’ve never come across this before.

This website has been operational for a year, never had a problem like this before. The only thing I’ve done recently is updated the version of jQuery it was running (in an effort to get another plugin to work).

Any suggestions? Do I have to downgrade jQuery? Ugh.

    Thanks!

Oops, I meant to say here’s the link to the website

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default 2012 theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Thanks esmi. It’s working now.

I had to resort to re-uploading all files and folders. I lost my .htaccess file in the process (had a bit of a heart attack because I couldn’t get my wp-admin log in page). I think ultimately there was a plugin conflict but re-uploading everything and doing fresh installs of the plugins seemed to do the trick.
