Just started a brand new, fresh WordPress blog on iPage (never have used the host for anything else just signed up today), used iPage’s SimpleScript service to install WordPress 3.1.2. Was able to create first post and see it, however when trying to add a new page, the Dashboard went through all the motions, and you could see the new Page hyperlink on the site, but clicking it brought up an error “Page Not Found”. i Page tech support tried to see the problem, I allowed them to sign on as admin and recreate the problem and they haven’t a clue.

Why can I add pages and then not see them (oh, I can see the error message fine but no page)?

No plugins have been installed, no widgets have been installed, this is a virgin install but it does not work. Have even switched to a number of different themes and still error. Have waited four hours before posting this to see if a cache proble. Still error!

  • Try re-installing WordPress.

    esmi,

That’s what I eventually did (3.1), and am using a plain vanilla theme and the issue has not popped up again.

I was able to recreate the problem in the first reinstall (3.1.2). It seemed to go screwy when I removed the frame from around photos. Don’t know if this was exclusive to the theme I was using, but decided not to remove frames (LOL).

Will stick with 3.1 for now.
