• ManageWP refuses to add a new website to my dashboard–no matter which method I use, it just hangs indefinitely with the message “Establishing connection…”

I got in touch with support and they said the error on their end is “CONNECTION_INVALID_KEY” and offered a solution: remove the worker plugin, then delete any entries in the wp_options table in the database that begin with mwp_, then reinstall the worker plugin and try to add the site using the new key. I’ve gone through that procedure 3 times now and it makes no difference.

Anyone else run into this issue? Is there a solution? Frustrating, seems like the integration has a pretty serious bug here.

  • Hi, well yes, unfortunately I also have this issue on multiple sites. I recently moved two sites to another host and whatever I do, I can’t re-add those sites. It just hangs. I followed the instruction they gave me for another site some weeks ago, went through them, now three times, but nothing works.

The support ticket is now open for 65 hours and hope to get a response a some point in the (near?) future.

They came up with a solution for me: add a query string to the URL when adding the site. Worth a try. I didn’t actually do it myself, after I’d given up a MWP tech. tried it and succeeded, then told me about it when I asked how they’d managed to add the site.

I don’t know if this will help anyone, but I had the same issue with a client website, and it would only reconnect once I deleted the Worker plugin and uploaded the previous version (4.9.19).
