Can’t add new page

  • Hello,
    I am trying to add a new page to my site (that is still in draft).
    I am getting this error:
    Object from empty value in …/test/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 713
    And this:
    “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.”

    I have disabled all plugins, but this did not solve the issue and changed the theme from Ocean WP to the standard theme (which created a host of other problems …)
    but I still can’t add a new page
    Any help appreciated, thanks!

    Can you please go to Tools -> Site Health and send the screenshot of the results?

    Thank you for your help.
    I found the Site Health under Tools in my WordPress and was able to fix all problems, except for this:
    “The optional module, libsodium, is not installed, or has been disabled”
    I could not fix this so far.
    Unfortunately none of the issues seemed to have impacted the problem as I still can’t add a new page or post.
    Yesterday it worked just fine and there were no updates in the meantime, so I am really puzzled here …

    I think that this has to do something with the server and if you want to solve that you should contact your hosting support, or you can just ignore it.

    I had a similar issue and resetting permalinks helped me. You can save permalinks by going Settings -> Permalinks -> Post name and save the changes twice. Then delete the cache and try to add a new page.

    Let me know how that went.

    I installed WP Debugging plugin, but unfortunately I have no knowledge whatsoever of programming.
    This is what it says when I try to create a new page:
    [Duplicate entry ‘2000’ for key ‘PRIMARY’]

    Does anyone know what this is and if this can be fixed by someone who does not do programming?

    I also noticed a problem with the main menu, can’t add new items. Not sure if that is related.
