Can't add new fanfiction

What have you set up? Not set up? What’s the url of your site?

No worries, I got it working. I do have some suggestions, you could add a prologue and epilogue feature cause now I have to post the first chapter without the chapter number and set the title as prologue and it’s the same with the last.

It’ll make it easier and an auto generated content page for each book could work as well.

OK, so it was working perfectly until I updated wordpress to version 4.2.1 and now I can’t add a new story. I think the compatibility is broken with then new version of wordpress. Is there a work-a-round for this? I have a new story I want to post and now I can’t.

Are the plugins activated? I’m seeing just short codes displaying.

If it is activated, then
add-fiction gives an javascript error, so it is possible there is a conflict with plugins.

I have the plugin on my 4.2.1 website, and it is working fine.

Please disable all other plugins, and see if the problem clears up. If so, then we know it is a plugin conflict. Re-enable one plugin at a time, keep re-checking until you find the one that breaks the add a story feature again.

Please report back. We’ll figure this out step by step.

Yes it is, I think the issue is with Java. You can check again, I’ve been trying to track down the root of the problem but to no avail.

I see the story list is now displaying.
I see that on the add a story page, I click the radio button and nothing happens.

Have you disabled all other plugins?
If so, then please switch to another theme to test this. Try Twenty Twelve or Eleven.

I’ll do that, but I need a responsive theme my site must remain mobile compatible.

It’s still the same, it has to be java. The error console shows error on CSS and java, but the fact that nothing happens when you click on an option tell me it’s java.

I’m gonna do a clean, fresh install on a offline server and see if I experience the same problem.

I don’t know what happened or what I did but it’s working again. It’s working as it should on the off-line server that I have running on my PC. And on the hosting server it’s running as it should. So I have no idea what I did. I’m gonna start activating all the other plugins again one by one.

You should know I’ve also been running WrodPress with “Java debug” turned on, I’ll turn that off first and work from there. If I find something I’ll let you know. But this issue is far from resolved, I need to find what is causing this. No one else should have to deal with this a solution needs to be found.
