• Hello

    I am having issues similar to the ones others have posted with uploading media to my pages. I followed the instructions in a few other posts but nothing has worked. I’ve done the following so far:
    – Deactivated all plugins
    – Refreshed my plugin folder
    – Reinstalled WordPress manually
    – Tried the Twenty Twelve theme– still does not work.

    Nothing is working. Please help. I’m in the process of setting up my site and this has been hindering my progress.

  • I am also having the same issue with trying to launch the pop up windows for the “add media” button, along with a strange issue where my gravity forms editing is disabled/invisible. They happened at the same time, so I tried adding the line above and it did not work. I’ve disabled all plugins and cleared the cache as well.

    I am also a Dreamhost customer.

    mmeisner08, what’s your domain? If you’d like, I can take a look at it for you.

    (I can’t promise I know what’s up with Gravity Forms, but there may be something obvious with add media, or that line in your wp-config, that I can help with.)

    For people with the media upload issues, if you’re on DreamHost, we’ve been rolling out a fix for this, so you don’t have to have CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS set. The issue is Google PageSpeed and how it’s compressing already compressed files (we filed a bug with them, no ETA on a real fix at source). You should be able to remove that line from your wp-config now (or turn pagespeed back up).

    If you find any where it’s still not working, an apache config or config+restart should do the trick

    I have the same problem. Just updated to wordpress 3.5. The “add media” pop up box comes up with posts just not when I want to add an image to a page. I don’t know much about code & I have no idea if I’m with dreamhost or not.

    Also- I don’t want to hi-jack a thread but I also don’t want to post a new topic about this & have someone tell me I should have done a search on this first. So here I am…if I’m supposed to be somewhere else, please let me know.

    janellenichol – That isn’t the same problem. This is where the add media button doesn’t pop up at all. So yes, you should make your own topic ??

    BTW, your host is https://atwoodzhosting.com/

    Thanks for the fix!!! Everything has been working great.

    Apology for butting in this feed. But I am not sure as how to start a new feed.

    I am having a similar issue.

    I have followed some of the advise as I am not techy minded.

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); already exists at the bottom of my wp-config.php page as displayed here:

    /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

    /** WordPress absolute path to the WordPress directory. */
    if ( !defined(‘ABSPATH’) )
    define(‘ABSPATH’, dirname(__FILE__) . ‘/’);

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );
    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);

    I have reset “phpMyAdmin”. I used Cpanel to access this.

    Also on my website I cannot view the image sliders on top of the my pages that are suppose to have them. https://www.rawfit.co.uk

    Please can anyone give me any further advise as so what I can do.

    Baby Steps please.

    Thank you.

    If you’re on DreamHost, we fixed the media vs pagespeed issues with a hammer and some Makers Mark.

    rawfit.co.uk isn’t on our servers, though ?? That domain left us, though you have others still with us.

    Hi,
    I tried all of the tips above, but none of them seem to be working.
    I still can’t upload any media to posts, the button still doesn’t pop up the media uploader.

    Adding define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ); doesn’t work either :/

    What should I do.

    I’m also on Dreamhost

    Thanks!!
