    Hi,

    To solve the problem, please complete the following:

    1) go to your_site/wp-admin/plugin-editor.php or in Dashboard -> Plugins->Editor;
    2) find ‘Gallery by BestWebSoft’ in the drop-down menu and click the ‘Select’ button from the right of the drop-down menu;
    3) code of the main plugin file should appear in a text editor. If it doesn’t, please click the link ‘gallery-plugin/gallery-plugin.php’ from the right of the text editor;
    4) please find the line Version: 4.3.8 and change it to Version: 4.3.5;
    5) save changes by clicking on the “Update file” button;
    6) deactivate, and then activate the plugin again;
    7) please check are there any images in your galleries.

    If the problem remains, please provide the access credentials to your WordPress admin dashboard (with Administrator’s permissions) and the FTP credentials (host, username and password), in order to detect the reason and find the solution.

    Since this data is confidential, maybe, it would be better if you created a private ticket on our support forum https://support.bestwebsoft.com/. Please include a link to this post, so that we could recall the case immediately.

    No, don’t do that. Please do not share your credentials with anyone on this forum.

    @bestwebsoft I’m sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then Bestwebsoft may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    Hi Jan Dembowski,

    Thank you for your notes, but we’d like to clarify a few points.

    Yes, sometimes we have to ask a customer for access credentials. But it happens only in that case, if we can’t reproduce a problem on our local environment due to certain circumstances, and this is the only way to find the problem and help to solve it. Also, the customer is able to provide his credentials to the demo version of the site if it’s completely identical with the original one.
    Anyway, as we mentioned above, we understand that this data is confidential, so that’s why we offer to provide it via our support forum, where our customers have an opportunity to create private tickets.

    Regards,
    BestWebSoft Support Team

    Thank you @bestwebsoft for that well thought out reply, I do appreciate that.

    Don’t. Seriously, do not do that here. As I mentioned above:

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

    Plugin and theme support has always been optional, meaning it’s really good that you are doing that. I know your users are glad for your support. But there are many things that you can interact with the users here in the forum to find and identify what and where the problem is without crossing that line.

    If you still feel you have to make that request in these forums then please consider supporting your users somewhere else.

    Man, they offered that support via their support site https://support.bestwebsoft.com/ which is private and not open, don’t know why you keep pushing?
