Can't add featured image

  • I’ve installed wordpress and got most things set up and hit a snag.

    When I hit “Set featured image” and select the image I would like, then hit “set as featured image” once again, no thumbnail shows up, and no image is set when the post is published.

    I’ve tried deactivating all of my plugins but that doesn’t seem to work.

    What could be the problem here?

    I am using Thalliumity theme.

    I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire theme. On the theme page it doesn’t mention any need to do any extra work in order to use featured images, so I’m still not sure of the problem.

    That’s not a theme that is supported here, so you will likely need to go to the vendor/developer for help. These forums only support themes from the repository on this site.

    If the image isn’t showing up in the post edit screen after clicking “set as featured image” then the theme might not be the problem. Can you add a featured image if you switch to twenty twelve theme?

    Yes, when I switched to the the twenty twelve theme I could add a featured image.

    did you manage to get a solution for this as I am having the same problem?
