Hi there, I’m able to add draft products that were created in the past into manual orders on the backend but when I create new draft products and try to them add to manual orders in the backend, it does not show up.

  • Hi @yongyee

    Thanks for reaching out!

I replicated the scenario on my personal site, and I was able to reproduce the issue here. However, when I published the product, I can see it in the dropdown already.

Can you please share why are you adding draft products, instead of published ones, to a manual order?

If you could also share your end goal here so that we could point you in the right direction?

    Thanks!

    Hi xue28,

My client wants to use draft products as they are useful if they are making a customised or a bulk sale where I can create something for one time use.

    Hi there @yongyee

My client wants to use draft products as they are useful if they are making a customised or a bulk sale where I can create something for one time use.

Thank you for clarifying further. From what I gather, draft products are used as templates; with their details mostly pre-defined, thus making it easier to customize a bit before making a custom version available on demand. Correct?

Could you elaborate further on the workflow, from that point on?

Looking forward to your response. Thank you. ??

@anastas10s Yes correct, from that point on my client will create the order manually on the backend and add in the draft products that he has created.

    Hi there @yongyee

Just to clarify, the whole workflow is realized utilizing just the WooCommerce plugin, or otherwise?

When I am using just the out-of-the-box WooCommerce functionality, I am able to duplicate a product, customize, publish it, and then add it to cart and checkout, without an issue.

In order to extend that functionality, as it is to facilitate offline customers, or phone orders, from what I gather, I suggest checking out the following plugins:

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know. We’re happy to help.

In which case, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status, with its URL visible?? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then click the Copy for support button.?You can either paste it in your response here, or use https://pastebin.com/ for pasting it there and sharing it with us (as it provides additional paste settings).

Looking forward to hearing from you!
