• Hi! So far I’m loving the plugin, but one major issue has presented itself and I just can’t seem to find any logic to it.

When first making the contact form I decided that there should be limit at 10mb and that the maximum amount of files attached would be 10. But there was a problem, when browsing for files I could’t add more than 3 files at once, after that I just got an error message when trying to send the files saying that it failed and that I should try again later. However, when I added a single file at a time or when I dragged and dropped it I could add at least 4, but when adding 10 files (one at a time browsing) it wouldn’t send saying that I should try again later. I increased the maximum size to 20mb but found no difference. Since this contact form is already live on the website I decided to decrease the maximum number of files to 3, since that number seemed to work however you did it. And so far adding 3 files with my Mac seems to be working, but unfortunately, I now discovered that I can’t send more than 2 files with my iPhone. 3 files on my phone results in the same message about trying again later.

It would be great if I could add 10 files without it failing but at least being able to add 3 on all devices would be necessary for my website. I currently have a maximum of 3 files turned on, but let me know if I need to increase it to 10.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated! ??

It now appears as if some files work and some don’t when on my Mac. For example, I tried adding 3 JPG files somewhat larger than the 3 earlier HEIC files and that wouldn’t work. Both the JPG and HEIC formats are allowed to be sent on the contact form. And although I believe it wasn’t necessary either way, I tried increasing the allowed file size to 50mb (changed it back to 20 soon after), but I still couldn’t send the 3 JPGs. I am very confused.

    Hello @jonathanaug ,

Sorry if you’re having issues with out plugin.

Can you please share the screenshots of your settings?
    1. Contact -> Drag & Drop Upload Settings
    2. Contact -> Edit Contact -> Form & Mail settings

Also make sure your email (receiving email) doesn’t have any file/attachment limit.

Please increase the limit to 10 so I can test your site and will try to debug and see if there’s any error.

    Thanks.

Thank you for the quick answer! Here are the screenshots: https://postimg.cc/gallery/ChjVD04 (sorry about them being in Swedish).

I’m using a Gmail and I’ve now found out they have a limit of 25mb. Do I need a new mail somewhere else?

The file limit has been increased to 10!

    Thanks again!!

    Hello @jonathanaug ,

Only gmail I know that accept files upto 25MB.

Try to upload files and make sure the total size not exceeds the limit and see if it’s working.

Let’s say total size of all uploaded files between 10MB-20MB.

    Please let me know.

    Hi again!

I’m afraid I can’t upload neither on my Mac nor my phone when making sure the total size stays between 10-20mb.

Can you please share the error message?

    Thanks,

It says in Swedish “Det var ett fel vid f?rs?ket att skicka ditt meddelande. F?rs?k igen senare.” which pretty much means “There was an error when trying to send your message. Try again later.”

    Thanks

I’m not related with this plugin, but do you happen to send files with “strange” filenames (say, with ??? in their filename)?

I’m afraid it dosen’t seem to make a difference. Good thinking though.

    Hello @jonathanaug ,

Uploading files greater than 5mb cause the error.

I tried between 1-5MB and it’s working, so I guess it’s a file size restriction or there’s any error on sending large files (maybe a server timeout).

This will need further investigation can you contact me through this email ([email protected]) so I can assist you?

    Thank You.
