• In Menu page , I can’t expand the “Custom Links” box to add a custom link.

I have WP 4.2.2., no extra plugins, tried to change the theme – still not working.

    What to do?

  • Have you created a menu?

Yes, menu was created. I can add pages, but not Custom links or categories.

    What is your site address?

    What theme are you using?

Who is your hosting company? Or is it a localhost install?

    Site address: https://blog.geobunkelj.si/

Theme: Evolve – tried also default theme – no success

Hosting company – don’t know why is this important? (https://www.center-erm.si)
Site is installed on web server.

I had evolve 3.3.0 on one of my sites, I double checked and the categories and custom links menus do open and I added a category link.

Has it previously been OK? Or now the first time you attempt?

How about with default theme TwentyFifteen and all plugins deactivated? even the ones that aren’t extra.

Also maybe some plugin you previously had activated did not deactivate cleanly?

This is very strange, I’m reaching now, Another possibility, have some capability been removed from your role?

Tried with TwentyFifteen and all plugins deactivated. No extra plugins installed.

I don’t know if it worked before upgrade to WP 4.2.2. ??

Same problem here…. worked fine 4.1

This thread looks a little old, but I’m having the same problem.

My local development environment is working just fine. The staging environment for the client to look at, isn’t. It’s basically the same problem: I can’t expand any of the accordion items in the Menus area. There must be a javascript conflict happening somewhere, because on the left sidebar, the “dropdown” submenus don’t fly out when you hover over each menu item, if that makes sense. Again, in my local environment for this project it works just fine. I tried to see if there were any errors in the console using Chrome Dev Tools, but it says there aren’t any!
