!!!Cant add category or tag to post!!!

  • Hi

    I simply cant add a tag or a category to a post not from quick edit; not from new post, not from edit post. I am realy frustrated please help me!!!!!!!

  • Try temporarily disabling all plugins and see if the problem goes away.

    hi i tried that it did not work, i deactivated all th plugins and signed out and then signed in again still did not work

    First, try switching to the default theme and see if that fixes anything.

    If it doesn’t, try either upgrading or reinstalling WordPress (upgrading to the same version) following these instructions:

    Tried switching themes and also manually reinstalled the entire thing still dosent work. I suspect i have damaged the database while changing the tebel prefix for security purpose; hoe can i confirm this and repair the database??

    You may be on to something there if you simply changed the prefixes on the individual tables. The prefix will be in some of your data in the options table and maybe a couple of others.

    You could dump the db and do a search/replace to change the rest of them, then drop the db, and import the changed file.

    dint work; will backup all my content; luckyly not much there yet and will reinstall wordpress from scratch and add the content again……..
