Can't add categories

  • Hi everyone,

    so I guess I must be doing something wrong here. But I can’t find out what.
    I want to create different categories for my posts.
    So I created a name, a slug, a description etc but it doesn’t work ??

    The categorie sometimes appears on the right side , but as soon as I’m leaving the page it’s gone.
    I also can’t find them when I’m writing a post and want to add to the post to a certain categorie. There are no categories there to be found.

    When I try to add the categorie again, it says the categorie already exists??

    Is there someone who knows what might be the problem? Or what I’m missing here ??

  • It sounds like this could be a conflict of some kind. First off, try deactivating any plugins you have running and reverting to the Twenty Fifteen theme. Now try adding a new category with a name and slug you haven’t previously tried.

    If that fixed the issue, you can reactivate plugins and your theme one by one until you find which caused it. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, let me know and we can dig a little deeper.

    If you figure out exactly which was the culprit, please consider letting the plugin developer know about the issue and hopefully it can be resolved.
