can't add categories

  • I have tried to add a new category 5 thousand times and it has yet to appear on my website. Once I add the category, I can see it in the list of categories and receive no error messages. PLEASE HELP!!

  • Have you used the category for a post? It has to be used to appear in menus, etc.

    Yes I have. The new category is listed among the pre-existing ones, however it does not show up on the website.

    I added a new post and selected the new category for it’s location as well…still doesn’t show up.

    Please post a url.

    Do you have a lot of categories?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    https://www.thelfcc.org is the website. I have not tried to deactivate all plugins yet. Thanks for the help!
