Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /www/htdocs/xxxx/public/wp-content/plugins/photo-gallery/framework/BWGOptions.php on line 336

    please help, thank you.

  • same here. I have temporarily disabled the plugin until it is resolved

I got the same error when I upgraded the plugin directly on the file system, rather than upgrading it through the admin dashboard. I suspect that the error occurred for me because there were database updates that needed to be made to support the newer version of the plugin that weren’t made because I didn’t update the plugin through the admin console.

I have the same error message and I did update via the admin dashboard. The FAQ suggests uploading zip file directly to server via FTP, but it doesn’t say where I can locate the zip file. Plus will a reinstall erase all my photos?

I have the same problem with this plugin.
