Can’t activate plugin

I’ve installed Imsanity. When I click ‘activate’, it says that a plugin has been activated and requests that I clear cache (as usual). But Imsanity still does not state that its activated and when I look at my activated plug ins, its not there. I’ve repeatedly tried to activate it. I’ve even uninstalled it and reinstalled. Still unable to activate. Can someone assist?
