    Hello
I recently transferred a site using maxbuttons to another URL using All-in-One-Wp-Migration (it’s worked perfectly for other transfers with maxbuttons). However, I now get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/robertgi/public_html/thenewknowledge.com/wp-content/plugins/maxbuttons/maxbuttons.php on line 14

I have tried deactivating, de-installing and reinstalling but I get the same problem – it won’t let me activate the plugin and throws the same error.

Is it possible to copy button data to Maxbuttons? I appreciate that de-installing has caused the loss of button data – but I do have a live active version of this site elsewhere that I could use to copy from. It would be good if I could just copy the file over holding the button data – as I have a lot of buttons on this site and re-creating them will be a pain.Hope that makes sense.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    carchbold,

An unexpected T_STRING error is often caused by a missing quote mark or semicolon. Maybe your copy of MaxButtons is corrupted. Try a fresh install.

As for the button data, export is in the Pro version. Otherwise it is necessary to import the database from the old site.

To add, please check the PHP version that’s running on your new host. The error suggests a very old version, MaxButtons requires at least 5.3, but 7.x is much better.
