Hi – something I can’t figure out here. Probably a simple thing I’ve forgot to check mark or overseen….

Installed and activated Jetpack. When clicking to configure, admin spins for some seconds, and returns me to the same page again – and again (page with button to setup Jetpack). Tried to look at Jetpacks FAQ page, and found that this link might help “[yoursite.com]/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack_modules”, but trying this URL tells me I don’t have access……

    Anyone that has input?

    – WP version: 5.3
    – Jetpack Version: 7.9
    – No multisite
    – My user is ADMINISTRATOR
    – Have tried to remove and reinstall Jetpack

    Thanks in advance ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there!

The reason you’re having issues with Jetpack is that there’s a problem with the XML RPC endpoint on your site. Jetpack requires access to the XML RPC file as found here:
    https://jhvmedia.dk/xmlrpc.php

At the moment, it’s returning a 403 / Forbidden error, while it should look like this example:
    https://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.php

Problems accessing XML RPC could be due to another plugin, a security module, or a block on your server. As a first step to fixing this, I’d recommend contacting your host to see whether they block XML RPC and if so, to unblock it for Jetpack (they can find our IP range here?https://jetpack.com/support/hosting-faq/).

Let us know what you hear back from your host, and we’ll retest the Jetpack connection once ready.

    Dear fresatomica

Thanks for your help! Highly appreciated.

I’ve now disabled the security Plugin, and can access https://jhvmedia.dk/xmlrpc.php

But still I get returned to the setup page after “Activate essential WordPress security and performance tools by setting up Jetpack” has been spinning for some 50-60 seconds.

Please try disconnecting Jetpack from your WordPress.com account, and connecting it again as explained here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

This should help, but let us know in case the issue persists. Thanks! ??
