    Hi,

I installed WordPress on my GoDaddy Web Hosting Account through GoDaddy. It felt like everything went smoothly. However, when I type in https://englebright.biz I get this: “Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache Server at englebright.biz Port 80”

If I type in https://englebright/wordpress” then I get what I am looking for, but of course I don’t want my URL to have “wordpress” in it.

I was told by GoDaddy that I need to install something like an “Index” file (something having to do with “Index”.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    R

Thank you for your help. I tried moving WordPress to the root directory and I may not have moved all of the files because it caused another problem that I won’t even go into here. ??
So I uninstalled WordPress and am now reinstalling it. Now that I went through the steps of installing again I see that GoDaddy automatically creates a folder within the root directory for WordPress unless I consciously choose to remove that folder and place WordPress into the root directory. A simple step that messed me up, but a lesson learned.
So, I backed up all my files and I will see if it is an easy job of just moving my Graph Paper Press theme folder with all the work I have already done into the newly installed themes subfolder.

    Thanks again for the help.
