Can’t access WordPress admin to make changes to my site

    Hi,

    I have tried to log into WordPress admin panel from both my hosting company and popping /wp-admin at the end of my domain.

    Once I get to the log in page I enter my details and it just refreshes the page. My hosting company changed the password for me still no joy.

    I am a very very new user of WordPress and only know the basics on how to change things on my websites back end.

    I’ve spoken with my hosting company and they have no idea why we can’t get in.

    Any ideas?

  • Well, to start I would suggest you login to the Control Panel at your host, and use the file manager to delete the site maintainance plugin you have installed under /wp-content/plugins

    Very difficult to troubleshoot these issues without seeing the site.

    You can also login to your control panel and set the username and password directly in the database to see if it makes a difference.

    I removed maintenance mode and it allowed me in ??
