Can't access website after update to 4.4.1

  • Directly after checking my website, I went to access the admin page which didn’t open: “Safari can’t open the page”. Then I received an email saying that WordPress had just updated to 4.4.1, so I figured the update had prevented me from accessing it. Now after 2 and a half hours of trying to resolve this issue, I can’t access anything regarding my website from any of my computers or phones. I am very frustrated! Please help!

  • First off I’d suggest deactivating all your plugins and seeing if this makes any difference, if so reactivate each plugin one by one to see if this resolves the issue.

    If there’s no access to the dashboard at all, jump into your file structure and just try renaming your plugins folder with wp-content temporarily to knock the plugins off.

    Could you share the URL for your site with us perhaps?

    Also do you have access to any error logs, and if so are they getting any new entries when you try to access your site?
