    Hi

I keep getting this message when I try to access Site kit:
Connect your Google account to Site Kit
Site Kit has already been configured by another admin of this site. To use Site Kit as well, sign in with your Google account which has access to Google services for this site (e.g. Google Analytics). Once you complete the 3 setup steps, you’ll see stats from all activated Google products.

I’ve deleted the plugin and reinstalled it, I’ve revoked Site Kit’s access and reinstalled it and given it access to all google services it requested.

But nothing I do stops me getting that message. Very frustrating!

    How do I fix this?

Sorry to hear you’ve been unable to setup Site Kit successfully, hopefully we can ensure you get connected successfully. In order to do so please share the following:

    1. When you see this notice and proceed to verify with your Google account are you redirected back to a particular screen? If so at what stage during verification are you redirected.
    2. Your Site Health information. You can share privately using this form.

Note that this dashboard notice is normal if another WordPress administrator has already setup Site Kit. Following the suggested setup flow other administrators can also setup Site Kit with their own Google account and use the plugin. If the Analytics module was connected by the other WordPress administrator you may need to request access to that connected Analytics property if not granted previously.

In your case once you share the above information we may be able to identify any aspect which is impacting your setup.

    HI James

Thanks for coming back so quickly. I’ve completed and submitted the form.

When I complete the verification, I get redirected to the WP-admin dashboard. I’ve just noticed this error message appears: Unknown Error (code: ‘redirect_uri’ mismatch). To fix this, redo the plugin setup.

Thanks for sharing. Before troubleshooting the plugins or configurations you have active can you follow the steps below and inform me if you’re able to proceed?

    1. Login to your site from a browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. Attempt to setup Site Kit once more

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.

If you can encounter the same redirection error can you share the following:

    1. The full URL of the page you land on
    2. Have you recently moved or migrated your site?
    3. Have you been able to setup Site Kit on this site previously?

    Hi James

    Got the same redirection error.

    Landed here: https://aurelius-advisory.com/wp-admin/

I changed the primary domain from entrepriseur.com to aurelius-advisory.com, and redirected entrepriseur.com to aurelius-advisory.com

Yes, it was set up when the primary domain was entrepriseur.com

    Thanks
    Richard

Thanks for sharing the additional insights, very useful. As your old URL may be registered to the Site Kit service please try the following steps in order to update your details:

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from https://aurelius-advisory.com to https://aurelius-advisory in your WordPress General Settings configuration.
    2. Log back into your site once requested and then undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https
    3. Attempt setup once more

Let me know how you get on after attempting the above.

    Hi James

I haven’t got a clue what’s happened but I’ve been mucking around with changing email addresses and passwords, and reinstalling site kit, and eventually it offered me an option to disconnect & reconnect site kit, which I’ve done.

Good news is that it appears to have worked!!

    thanks for your help

Thanks for letting us know, that’s good to know. When you mention you changed emails did you use another Google profile to setup the plugin, or was it a mix of changes you applied that allowed you proceed?

    nice
