Hi, I need help please with being able to access a certain row editor.
I have an advanced gallery with a divider on top and below the gallery. And above and below this row are row/blocks which I can access the row editor. Just not the middle row/block.

Wherever I click it takes me to gallery settings, divider settings, or to column settings, but no way to access the row editor. I want to make changes to the background image etc, but unless I delete everything and other rows/blocks on the same page, I cannot get to the row editor… it is driving me insane. Essentially to make any change to this row, I need to delete whole page and build from scratch. And then to edit, need to do this again, just makes no sense.

I have tried clicking on above row editor to get it off the middle section, then click on every corner and edge and between dividers of the row I want to edit, but can never get to edit the row where the gallery is. Even deleting the gallery, I still cant access the row editor. I can see the parallax background etc, but cant get to it.

Is there any trick to access the row somehow that I am missing?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey,
This is a common frustration with Gutenberg and something I know they are working to improve, selecting blocks behind other blocks can be tricky. However there is a tool for this exact thing in gutenberg that will allow you to do it when it’s not letting you click on the block in the editor.

Select your gallery then in the top right corner of gutenberg click on the block navigation icon (see image):

From there you can select the row behind (or in the navigation dropdown above) the gallery.

    Hi Ben,

You made my day, thank you so much… clearly I am new at this, my first website design ever, and for my own brand! Learning something new is great ??

So simple and straight forward once you know where to look haha!

    Cheers,

    Raoul

Have been having the same problem for quite a while. The solution mentioned here, works, very happy with it. Thank you very much.
