• I tried removing a bunch of menu items (including “plugins”) to make it easier for clients to do what they have to do without being distracted by things they shouldn’t be messing with.

The intention was to have Admin’s see all menu items and Editor to not see all menu items.

Now as Admin, the menu item for Plugins is no longer there for me to edit the menu. Please help!

What exactly did you do to remove the menus? The recommended way to hide a menu from the Editor role would be to set the required capability to something that Editor doesn’t have, like “manage_options”.

Also, normally the Editor role can’t see the “Plugins” or “Menu Editor” menus to begin with. Was that not the case on your site?

Now as Admin, the menu item for Plugins is no longer there for me to edit the menu.

Do you mean that “Plugins” menu is gone, the “Settings -> Menu Editor” menu is gone, or both, or something else? If you’ve hidden the menu editor from your own role, unfortunately you’ll need to reset all menu permissions. Try going to /wp-admin/?reset_admin_menu=1 first. If that doesn’t work, delete the plugin via FTP, reinstall it, delete it again via the “Plugins” page, then install it normally.
