• I have installed my multisite which is working perfectly.
The trouble is that now I can’t access any of the plugins from any of the other sites that I installed as a network super administrator. Please help . Thanks

Are they network activated? If so, that’s by design. You can only see plugins on children site if

    1) They’re not network activate and
    2) You turned on the plugin screen (go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin/network/settings.php and check Enable administration menus ‘plugins’)

Thanks lpstenu for your reply, I have done number #2. I am sure they are network activated. I updated to the most recent version yesterday and it is still not working. All the plugins however are showing up in “settings” which is a little weird.
I have two network activated multi-sites and one works with the plugins showing and the other does not, although I am sure it did when I first set it up earlier this year.
Just a little annoying that I cannot see them. Otherwise everything works well.

All the plugins however are showing up in “settings” which is a little weird.

You mean the plugin settings show up in … settings?

Wait, are you saying ‘After I activate a plugin, I can’t find the screen to use to control that plugin.’ or are you saying ‘There is no wp-admin/plugins.php screen on my subsites.’

    Those are different things ??

Instead of my plugins showing up under the “plugins” menu, they are showing up in the “Settings” menu. That means I am unable to control any of the plugins – activate/deactivate etc them from and of the child sites. Yet they are all working. For instance, the facebook like box is available in the widget area, not in the plugin area. The Twitter goodies is available in the Settings and Widget menus, not under the plugins menu.

Okay, then what is showing on wp-admin/plugins.php ? Anything?

    Note, you said:

I am sure they are network activated.

Remember how I said you can only see plugins on children site if they’re not network activated? That means if you network activated a plugin, it does not show up on the plugins page, you cannot turn them off per site.

Where is the wp-admin/plugins.php? Is that the part where I can view the plugins that are activated or not? I only see that in the network admin area. Not even on “my site”.

I did network activate all the plugins that I wanted to use. Right now – that is all of them as I deleted the ones I am not using.
So you are saying now that I am not able to see them on the child sites? under the plugins?

On my other multi-site data base I CAN see them all from the network admin to the child sites. So it is a little confusing.

    Site Plugins: Yourdomain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php or Yourdomain.com/sitename/wp-admin/plugins.php

    NETWORK plugins: Yourdomain.com/network/wp-admin/plugins.php

So you are saying now that I am not able to see them on the child sites? under the plugins?

That is exactly what I said.

If you network activate a plugin, you will not see it on the plugins screen for individual sites. You will only see it on the Network Plugins screen.

If you’re able to see network activated plugins on child sites, then either they were activated there before network activation, or you’re using an old version of WordPress.

I was using an older version – I think four versions ago. I lost track. Anyway, I suppose it doesn’t really matter now.

One site has the plugins showing up where I am familiar with – so I can individually activate/deactivate and the other site only has them showing in the Settings so I am unable to activate/deactivate individually.

Both sites I have plugins network activated. So I shall continue on with the way they are right now. I was just curious as to why this is happening that way.

Just as an aside – is there any other way to network activate other than when I install them or upload them?

Acutally it totally matters ?? Four versions ago, it was different.

Just as an aside – is there any other way to network activate other than when I install them or upload them?

You can go back to the network admin plugin screen and network activate a plugin at any time ??
