• I just installed WordPress 3.6 manually and everything appeared to be working perfectly. until I went to install a plugin from the dashboard. The issue arises when I try to search for available plugins, click on featured or anything that pulls information form www.remarpro.com.

This is the error message I get:

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

I have read and read but I can’t find a solution or a reason to this problem.

  • Is your server behind a proxy server, load balancer and/or firewall system? This may cause issues when trying to access external resources (like www.remarpro.com or Google fonts, etc.) unless the proper firewall rules are in place. To resolve this, you will need to work with your host – if this is indeed the issue.

The theme I installed is using Google Web Fonts and they appear to be working. But the install issue remains. I will try to contact my host provider and see if they can shed some light on this like you are saying.
