• Whenever I try to access my website via the website address https://www.meremutts.co.uk although the page banner appears, the text below simply says that Nothing was Found. I am also not able to log onto my admin page – when I try to do so, it tells me that the Page is not found and you can’t find what you’re looking for.
Please help – I am desperately trying to get my site up and running in time for my business start date in early January.

  • It does not look like you’ve published any posts yet and that block on your homepage is meant to pull the most recent posts. That’s why you see the “Nothing was Found” notice.

Is this the page you would like to be your actual homepage? If so, you should follow these instructions for setting up a static homepage.

Also, you might want to consider changing your permalink settings to “Post Name”, here are instructions on how to do that as well.

It looks like there could be a redirect in place blocking access to the admin section of the site. Could you give more details about what plugins you have installed. This may be caused by an issue with a plugin. You could also review this article in the Codex and see if any of these solutions resolve your issue.

Hi, thanks for your response. Yes that is the page I’d like to be my homepage, but, as you see, I can’t access my admin page to alter the settings as you suggest.
I use Microsoft Edge .. i’m not sure where to find what plugins are installed ..

Do you have access to FTP? If so, you can rename your plugins folder which will deactivate all plugins. If it is a plugin conflict, then you should be able to once again access your site’s admin.

If not, try deactivating your theme.

Let me know how that goes.

I don’t know about access to FTP – I can access my Control Panel where I can see that it says I can configure my FTP client but am not really confident/sure what to do.
I have found a folder called wp super cache – this tells me I have the following plugins added:
    domain-mapping
    dynamic-cache-test
    awaitingmoderation
    badbehaviour
    jetpack
    multisite
    searchengine
    wptouch

    Does that help?

OK, I managed to change theme but I still can’t access the admin dashboard
I’ve tried disabling the plugins – this made no difference.
I’ve tried all sorts of things but nothing seems to work. I think it’s because I tried to delete the blog page that comes up as the standard front page without altering the settings to have a static front page first and now I can’t change things as I can’t access the dashboard.
Is there any way I can sort this out from within the control panel as I can access this?
