Hello, not sure what happened, I was installing some themes to my page and then I got this error ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

I tried it in 2 pcs from my office and it didn’t work in any of them, but then tried it using another wifi connection (from my phone) and it worked smoothly.

I guess somehow my IP got banned, since this problem started yesterday… not sure about it tho….

Is there a way to unban my ip or what should I do?

WordPress itself doesn’t ban IPs, so this could likely be something else.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I turned off all the plugins I have and also deleted all the themes I installed yesterday. I’m swapping between internet connections to try those changes and test if they worked

Btw yesterday I installed those new themes but never activated any new one, so unless I’m wrong I’m already on the deafault theme….

Also.. if this problem only happens with my office internet connection, could it be cause a theme or plugin? it seems to be more related to a denied access problem…. not sure

There are lots of security plugins which can deny access.

If resetting the plugins or theme didn’t make a change, then I recommend contacting your hosting provider’s support.

At the end found out the error was related to the modem… My office had a modem I didnt know about and I was all this time resetting a repeater… when I found out that modem solved the problem just turning it off and on again… thanks it crowd, thank you guys
