CAN'T ACCESS MY BLOG: HELP!

    I’ve tried to move my blog directory address and my hosting gave me the totally wrong directions to do it so none of my pages were being located. i then decide to undo what the hosting had told me which was changing the domain pointing directory/subdirectory and now my login doesn’t work. it still reads the prior location.Then, i went to mySQL and changed the password and now not even the login page shows up.
    Luckly i have backup everything before starting moving things around?
    I have tried installing a new blog and use my old dabase but it gives me an error saying it already existes ??
    Is there a way i can just upload my backup and ftp files to restore it all completely?

    1 st you will need to move your blog back to it’s original location
    then fix the site url’s

    Thanks so much for the quick response Samuel.

    I had already put the location address back to the original but my login is not working at all neither the url address(it says “Error establishing a database connection”).
    I think i messed up the connection when i change the password of my database.

    i have restored my database but my problem is not it. My problem is that the database is not connecting to the blog…i guess when i change the password on my database i disconnect it somehow. The login page doesn’t even mount.
    Is there any way i can reset my login functions?

    if you reset your db pass, you can either change it back with phpmyadmin or change the details in wp-config.php

    YES, i got IT working again! thanks to you Samuel!
    i actually did open the “wp-config.php” and saw what the DB password was, which was a different pass than the pass to the access panel so then i went to the DB at mysql and changed the pass to that one.
    Now, i will satrt all over after reading the first link you sent me on “changing the site URL”.
    i hope this time it will work…but please don’t close this post until i finish this next phase.

    I have followed the steps from

    and the blog is runing on the new address but i can’t login/edit.
    the login page doesn’t allow me to get in … it doesn’t give me any message, just reloads the login page which has the right new address. Also, afetr i changed the “WordPress address (URI):” and the “Blog address (URI):” and clicked on SAVE it took me to a page on my old address. ok, i had moved my files to the new location before changing the address but then i went back, deleted the files and copied it to new location again.
    when i go to the DB and browse in the option-value it shows the right address: public_html/…(because i am moving it to home directory.
    My htaccess default page is set to index.php(is there a problem if i have set it after changing the address name?

    Any idea or direction to fix that?
    I am so close … ??

    Never mind… i just needed to reset my password!!
