    Hi,

I’ve decided to finally give this plugin a spin. Looks great, but after installing and going to Appearance > Login Designer, all I see is the customizer sidebar and the WP Dashboard. I can see the Login Designer options in the customizer, but that is not super helpful either. From there I can see the 3 templates, and I can select them, but there is no option to customize.

Does this sound familiar at all?

  • Hey man,

Do you mind deactivating and reactivating the plugin? If that does not work, then uninstalling and installing?

Are you using multisite? If so, did you activate the plugin network wide, or single site?

Also, do you see a Login Designer draft page assigned the Login Designer template in your WordPress Pages?

    We’ll figure it out!

Yeah sure. I deactivated/activated then reinstalled the plugin. Did not help.

Considering your advice, I checked out the draft page added for Login Designer. Trying to preview the page just redirected back to WP Dashboard. This seemed to be the problem, so I tried resaving the permalinks settings (often an issue in these cases). That didnt work.

The issue persists using the default WP theme. I have a few plugins, but none that seem they should cause a conflict…

Mhmm that’s interesting. That page is performing as expected. It’s not supposed to be accessible, as it’s a placeholder for the real login page.

Do you have access to your database? If so, do you see a value inserted for the login_designer_settings[login_designer_page] option?

Ill give it a check, but my guess is that there will be a value there. When the customizer loads, it shows a lot of details in the URL’s query string. One of them is a page ID. And looking at the Login Designer’s draft page, the ID’s match.

I think the next step may be to test it on a blank install, or disable all the plugins. I’d like to avoid the latter though because the site is live :/

Thanks for checking and reporting back. I’m working on it!

    Hi @stegosource,

I just pushed an update (v1.0.8) and I’m keen to find out if it addresses your issue. Let me know!

    Hey Rich,

Thanks for the update and getting back to me on this quickly. I tried the new release after deleting, but that did not help. Im on to deactivating plugins one at a time to see if there is one that is causing this conflict. Will get back to you shortly.

Very odd! Are you using multisite by chance?

    (@stegosource)

Alright, I think I found the issue. I use All in One Security plugin. I tried disabling all the settings to test whether that was an issue, and the problem persisted. However, once I disabled that plugin, the problem was gone.

So it seems like there is a conflict with these two plugins, even when the security settings are not enabled.

    Hope that is helpful.

    Not using multisite

Thanks for the insight. I’ll install the plugin and see if I can replicate the issue.

So it looks like the plugin manipulates the login, even if the “Login Lockdown” option it uninstalled. I did some digging around but it doesn’t look like I can do anything on my end to bring that compatibility.

I’ll reach out and see what we can do together though.

Ah Ok. that makes sense and is also kind of annoying on their end. Sucks when someone else messes up how your plugin works.

Well Ill reach out as well. Thanks for looking into this.

Thanks mate! It’s all part of working with WordPress I suppose. There’s bound to be some conflicts with the number of plugins available.

I’m going to go ahead and close this ticket. If you hear back with any valuable communication, definitly open another ticket and we’ll work on resolving it.

    Thanks for all your help!

    Hey @stegosource!

I just pushed v1.1.3, which includes a template rewrite that enables the Customizer’s Login Designer page to resolve properly with aggressive security suites plugins activated.

I tested it with the All in One Security plugin you referred and the plugin seems to be resolving properly. Do you mind confirming on your end when you get a chance? Thanks!
