• I was working on my site today and I was trying to get it so that if you go to https://www.ninjagang.com it would go directly to my website instead of having to go to https://www.ninjagang.com/wordpress. Under general settings I tried just taking off the /wordpress on my WordPress address (URL) and Blog address (URL). I never did click save though, but now whenever I try to log into my site I get page not found error. I tried closing out of my browser and clearing cookies. I installed wordpress through godaddy, if that matters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

  • See Changing_The_Site_URL

Then when you’re back into the site see Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory.

I appreciate the quick response but at this point I don’t care much about changing the URL name I just want to be able to log in to edit my site. I tried the options in the links you sent me and I’m still not having any luck. My site itself works fine, but anytime I try to log in I still “get page not found”

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank you!

WordPress is still looking for the files in ninjagang.com .

You’ll have to access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel) and manually change the siteurl and home values to https://www.ninjagang.com/wordpress
