access folders from Add Media and Create Gallery
-
I purchased this after realizing the free Lite version limits you to 9 folders, which I encountered within 30 minutes of use. So I popped for the $27. Now I’m super frustrated because I can’t access the folders I’ve created from the Add Media button on posts or pages.
So, yes you can make folders that you can use to view your media ONLY from the media library itself. The plugin did not work at all when it comes to adding media to a page or post. I was still left scrolling through all of my media to select items for a gallery.
EDIT: I just spent days working with NinjaTeam about this issue. First, they produced an upgrade (version 2.7). Then they taught me how to clear cache in a very specific way via the inspect screen in my browser and now the folders show up in the “Add Media” screen and the “Create Gallery.” Diligent support!
I use a wide variety of Content Management Systems, both open source and proprietary, and it totally surprised me that organizing a media library with folders/directories is not standard in WordPress. But there you have it — as with most things WordPress — you need this add-on.
