Hi. I upgraded to WP 3.9 a couple days ago and now I can’t access the dashboard (wp-admin). All I see is a blank space and the message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _relocate_children() (previously declared in /home/USER/mydomain.com/wp-admin/includes/post.php:863) in /home/USER/mydomain.com/wp-admin/includes/deprecated.php on line 1190

I’m not 100% sure the issue is related to the upgrade, but after looking at recent forums I see a lot of people having problems with 3.9

I have 3 WP sites under the same domain. They’re working fine, but I can’t access (wp-admin) any of them.

I tried resetting plugins. Didn’t work.

Does anyone have a clue on this? Any help would be much appreciated.

    That’s about it. Problem solved.

    Hi
Ok, long story short. I had the above problem and had to do a manual upgrade which worked (eventually). However when I have logged back in to the admin I now no longer have the Visual editor or any copy in my pages or posts. The copy is definitely there as it is showing in Live and I have the text editor which also displays copy.

Can anybody help on how to restore the Visual editor? It’s much easier to use.

    thanks
    David

Try hitting the re-install now button in the updates panel (after you make a backup of everything).

I am on DreamHost, and had this issue. Via FTP, I replaced out the single file ‘/wp-admin/includes/post.php’ with a fresh copy of it from just the download you can get here on www.remarpro.com. After I did that I was able to access the admin again, from there I went to the update panel in the admin and just hit the ‘re-install now’ button (to make sure everything got updated this time), and everything seems to be just fine now. Just in case this helps somebody who ran into that.

Otto’s comments clued me in to it being an incomplete upgrade, and from there it was pretty easy to fix.

    Hi everybody,

This morning I tried to installed a new plugin call Meta box and I had this message :

?Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class RW_Meta_Box in /home/content/48/11003548/html/wp-content/themes/gdrealestate/cyberchimps/inc/meta-box-class.php on line 108?

Is somebody had this message in the past and how can I solve it.

    Thanks in advance.
