Can't access admin, redirect to 127.0.0.1

  • Hi guys, I have a really scary problem. I can’t access the admin area using my admin url /pplw (setup using All-In-One security and firewall). Furthermore, when i use in on a login form at my website as a subscriber, i get redirected to 127.0.0.1.
    Yesterday the whole site was working fantastically, now all of a sudden it’s acting like this. I’m running the site on a VPS, so my hoster hasn’t been messing around.

    This is a big problem, people rely on this site, can you guys help me out?

  • Hello,
    Contact your VPS provider , they’ll be able to assist you better.
    You can also try re-installing wordpress.

    I’ve looked over several topics on this forum telling each other it has something to do with .htaccess, but I can’t find anywhere what I should be changing in the .htaccess file.

    here’s what’s happening:
    /wp-admin –> 127.0.0.1
    /wp-login –> 127.0.0.1
    /pplw –> 404
    subscriber logging in via login form on homepage –> 127.0.0.1

    I can’t be installing WordPress, this has to work… Please help!

    I’ve fixed it. Deleted all the All In One WP Security rules from the .htaccess file. Thanks for trying to help @akash!
