Please help me!

I cannot access my admin panel as it says

page not found – does not seem to exist

Site is still running normal, and i’ve already tried the following:

put plugins on hold
put mu plugins on hold
deleted plugins that i thought may be a problem

i’ve got no result and the above things didn’t work.
i need to access site urgently.

please help!

Just remember about how to post code in these forums. Most .htaccess files are not that many lines but something odd is going on with your installation.

Tsk. I should have posted that first… I’ll fix it but you really need to learn how to post code here…

That’s a lot of weird stuff in that file. Try renaming the .htaccess file to .htaccess-old and see if you can login after that.

OOoops , Yes, and I think there is a security better wp-security plugin i can see it now!

have renamed htaccess to old.

Did renaming that file let you login to your WordPress installation?

Edit: Yep that was it. Login and visit

https://www.mindxcel.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php

And save your permalink structure again. That will create a new .htaccess file for you.

It works now! So, after 50 replies you are telling us that your plugins aren’t disabled (as we suggested) ? ??

I’m pretty sure it was the contents of the .htaccess file that did it but I’d stay clear of those security plugins if I were you. ??

Yes, that htaccess did it. before i made the plugins old but they didn’t make a difference so i made them normal again.

After having a long problem like this I suggest you may want to back the whole works up right now. ??

Having good complete off server backups really is the best safety net you can have. Aside from that I think you’re good to go.
