• I have a local website on a Windows 2012 Server in my office. The website shows up fine on the internet, but when logging in to the admin panel from within our office, the login page just reloads.

I understand that in the setup you set your forward facing internet links, but once in our “intranet” the links change.. instead of https://environmental…net it is https://web.environmental…net. (web is the name of the Windows Server in a DC environment.)

Is there a plugin or way that I can access the admin panel from within our intranet?

  • I’m not sure that you can overcome that issue with a plugin. It might be worth mentioning the Nat loopback functions (or lack of) to your IT guys. Maybe they can enable it for you at the firewall/router level. If that isn’t something they care to do in your environment, they may be able to help you overcome it by adding a host file entry or something of the sort.

I actually changed the hosts file on my computer to point to our website with success…

I think maybe that Did you install any other plugin after you resolved the issues with genesis ? Just to be sure, try to deactivate your plugins folder via FTP/cpanel by renaming the folder to e.g. wp-content/plugins-xxx
Rename the folder back to wp-content/plugins after you access wp-admin.
