Can't access admin page

  • Suddenly getting this message when I try to access the wp-admin page:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/whetstoneadmin/whetstone.wesley.edu/wp-admin/custom-background.php on line 292

    I can’t disable plugins to see if a plugin is causing the problem because I can’t get to the admin screen. I’ve changed nothing on the site for at least a month.

    I’m guessing on the version of WP we’re using. I know we’re either at the latest version or one back. I can’t check because I can’t get into the admin screen.
