    Hello Tomas,

    Thanks for reaching out regarding canonical URLs on WooCommerce variable product pages. By default, the Yoast SEO plugin will output a canonical tag for every URL on your site using the current page’s URL as the canonical URL value unless you specify the custom canonical URL for it. As such, the canonical URL for a variable product should automatically default to the main product URL. Google should then hit that variable string, see it has a different canonical, follow the canonical and crawl/index it.
