• We feature a lot of guest posts on our site and hence give rel=canonical link backs to the original website/url. So far there was no issue when sharing our article on social networks, but since the past 1-2 weeks, Facebook is using the original site’s image, url & description instead when sharing the article from our website.

    When i checked the source code, it looks like WP SEO is passing the canonical url as the og:url to Facebook and hence it’s sharing the original link instead of our website. Can something be done here to over ride the og url manually when using canonical links? Any solution?

  • Hello,

    I have the same problem.

    Have you an idea how add in the head that line to solve that ?

    <meta type=”og:url” content=”<?php get_current_url(); ?>” >
