Canonical urls on custom post type archive pages

Just noticed that canonical urls are working incorrectly with custom post type date archive pages.

For example, when page url is https://www.example.com/2013/02/?post_type=custom, the canonical url seems to be https://www.example.com/2013/02/ which is incorrect and leads to a 404 error.
